Black Community Health & Wellness Association of Nevada, African American Scholars Program:

University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Public Health, Glahnnia Rates Undergraduate Access & Equity Scholarship Endowment: The establishment of the Glahnnia Rates Undergraduate Access Scholarship Endowment in Public Health is made possible by the successes and accomplishments of Ms. Glahnnia Rates, a cherished and respected alumnus of the UNLV School of Public Health. Ms. Rates is the youngest Public Health graduate to start an endowed scholarship in the School’s history.

Ms. Rates’ ultimate goal is to provide support and access for outstanding undergraduate minority students who need financial assistance in their pursuit of public health education.

Temitope Muyiwa Akintoye, African Immigrant & Refugee Scholarship Program
We are currently collecting donations to help fund the professional and academic goals of immigrants and refugees of African descent. All funds will be donated quarterly to this population in need that will go towards (but not limited to) school supplies, food, housing, travel, and healthcare services on a local, national, and international level (scheduled to launch by May 2023).
